Check out which shows topped the TRP charts this week. Take a look as we list down the shows that are most loved by the audience!(based on Urban charts)
A big Hello to all the readers! We know, you have been eagerly awaiting the numbers game and here we are, ready to rock and roll with the results. Unlike any other week, there are some regular members in this list, except some surprises and a major SURPRISE..! The biggest news out of it is that Colors’ topples Star Plus to become the leader this week.
To begin with a surprise, one of the most popular shows, ‘Ye Hai Mohabbatein’ witnessed a rare 10th spot this week, which is a massive drop. With 2.6 points, the show will certainly be all guns blazing to change its fortunes.
While ‘Super Dancer’ was a jackpot for Sony TV, it seems the new entrant, ‘Indian Idol 9’, with 2.6 points, will be continuing the trend entering at the 9th position. The show has a lot of things working for itself and we feel it will rise up through the ranks even more.
A comeback for India’s longest running sitcom, ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is back with a bang. The consistency of the show is unbelievable and with 2.7 points, it can seemingly only get better from being at the 8th position.
It has been a rock steady presence for Star Plus’ ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ with 2.7 points at the 7th position. We really wonder how Gopi’s (Devoleena Bhattacharjee) ‘mistaken pregnancy’ drama will fair for the show.
Gear up for the biggest surprise of all time; on the 6th position, is the wonder show, ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ with 2.7 points. We wonder what to be amazed about, the fact that this show is still on-air or the fact that it still has ‘increasing viewership.’
Another show, which, we keep wondering that how on earth does it stay in the Top 10 is ‘Udaan’.’ Completely deviated from the actual crux, the ‘mixed doubles’ game in the show is somehow working for them and it is on the 5th position with 2.8 points.
Being rock steady is ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. The show continues to be in the Top 5 and doesn’t seem to be leaving it anytime soon as it fetches the 4th position with 3.0 points.
On the 3rd position, we don’t have anything ‘new’ for you; quite literally, as ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ doesn’t offer something ‘new’, the position of the show is also not ‘new’ as it is on the 3rd position with 3.1 points.
The Top 2 has pretty much been stagnant for a long while now, where ‘Shakti… Astitiva Ke Ehsaas Kii’ continues to be on the 2nd position with 3.1 points. However, we suspect the ‘one-of-a-kind’ marriage drama will certainly put it in the top position race soon.
Weeks have gone and the fate of the top position hasn’t changed. The supernatural saga, ‘Naagin 2’ somehow continues to maintain its top spot with 4.1 points.
And a special mention for…
For the first time since its inception, ‘Bigg Boss Season 10’ has FINALLY entered the Top 20, where it is at the 20th position with 1.8 points. The whole Salman Khan-ousting-Priyanka Jagga drama certainly was one of the biggest talked about things and it has reflected in the numbers. We are certain this week’s Om Swami ousting drama will continue the show’s reign in Top 20 and probably even rise higher.
What do you have to say about the new entries and surprise drops of this week?
